What Is Naturopathy?

Naturopathy is a lifestyle based on the premise that the human body was created to be healthy, and to heal itself. Physiological dysfunctions are caused by the introduction of a toxin into our body, such as chemical pesticides, heavy metals, food preservatives, or carbon monoxide. Toxins are also emotional, and might include anger, sorrow, hopelessness, irritation, or rejection.
Naturopathy also holds that everything needed for health and healing is found in nature, in the form of nutritious live food, herbs, essential oils, and homeopathic remedies. Additional natural healing remedies are actually therapies such as massage, craniosacral, and others listed under Therapies & Services.
Naturopathy uses a third truth – the body knows its own levels of health, and displays this information in many places throughout the body. Natural Health Therapists (Naturopaths) are trained to discover and understand what these signals mean.
